Geotechnical Engineer (offshore)

We can offer exciting projects, an extremely accessible senior leadership team and a fun yet professional working environment. Our projects are primarily in the Mediterranean, Baltic, and North Sea.
We are looking for an autonomous, experienced, and professional Geotechnical Engineer who will take ownership of the project and act in the best interests of NextGeo. The successful candidate will be the key interface between the Geotechnical Operators/Driller and the Client/Party Chief. Through strong relationship building and accountability, you will take responsibility to ensure soil and rock acquisition and interpretation is to the highest standard and within client scope/expectations.
Responsibilities will include:
- Core penetration test interpretation
- Soil/rock logging
- Working knowledge and experience with Eurocode and British Standards
- Knowledge of lab testing equipment and processes
- Understanding of drilling equipment and CPT operations and principles
- Quality control of samples by junior members of staff
- You will be proficient with MS office packages and an intermediate/advanced user of Excel
- Confidence with gINT software and QGIS is a plus
