Geotechnical Survey Engineer
NextGeo has recently been awarded several key projects; therefore, we are looking to further strengthen our team by recruiting a Geotechnical Survey Engineer who will work closely with, support and deputise for the Geotechnical Manager in his absence. This role will focus on ensuring all shallow water geotechnical operations are managed effectively from mobilisation through to execution stage.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting the Project Managers and working with suppliers in sourcing the most appropriate geotechnical equipment for the project
- Ensuring all equipment is of the correct specification, available and at the right price
- Working with our asset manager to ensure equipment is delivered on time to the vessel with the correct documents
- Dealing with suppliers for any contractual/service delivery breaches
- Being the first point of contact for shallow water geotechnical technical issues on project
- Working with data reporters and processors to ensure project/client deadlines are met as well as assessing data quality
- Conducting vessel inspections to draft reports to assess her fit for purpose
- Attending mobilisations and demobilisations to co-ordinate activity including meeting deadlines
- Drafting deck layouts and being reference person to coordinate mobilisation of geotechnical scopes
- Supporting development of technical project procedures
- Being the first point of contact for Project Managers on technical queries
- Supporting Project Managers on technical issues during client meetings
- Supporting QHSE on QHSE technical matters
- Contributing towards crew/team selection
Essential requirements include:
- A sound geotechnical technical background
- Previous experience in planning/coordinating vessel mobilisations and project activity
- Ability to attend mobilisations across Europe
